GP14 Open – Report and results

Eleven boats took to the water in the 2021 GP 14 Open. There were four visitors and seven boats from Trimpley.

In a quiet day with variable winds John and Jack Telford from Bassenthwaite SC took the honours winning the first and second races – a good return for a four hour drive from the North.

Trimpley sailors sailed well and managed a Silver fleet first for Simon Fletcher and John Cookson and Dave Beechey and Ian Patterson won the Bronze fleet category.

Leslie Freeman ( the only female sailor on the day ) and crew Andy Blakeway were always in contention and finished in an admirable 7th place.
