Trafaldwyn Trophy 2018

Eight boats sailed in mixed conditions for the 2018 Trafaldwyn Trophy. Mike Dalziel and Ian Davies had a close run series of races in their Lasers  with Ian taking the Main trophy by winning the last race – Mike took the Handicap award . Serena Gammond, despite a couple of capsizes, battled through some awkward conditions for a very respectable third place

In the GP14 class Ray Drury and Peter John raced against Ralph Webb and Mik Neville with James Gammond joining them, sailing single handed. Ralph took the Main and Handicap trophies. Well done to James for keeping in touch with two very experienced sailors.

In the Topper class Matthew Chadderton showed his experience by beating Toby Gammond but it was no walkover. Both boys are becoming very efficient sailors – watch out Ali Young !
