Plas Menai Sailing weekend. Arriving on a Friday evening and if you get there early enough an evening meal is included. If a little later don’t worry there is usually a group of late arrivals who go for a curry.
Accommodation is on-site with shared en-suite rooms accommodating 2-3 people per room.
Saturday morning starts with a briefing and then the rest of the day on the water.
Sunday is the same format with more time on the water due to a shorter morning briefing.
Depending upon weather and tides we will sail up or down the strait, there is full safety boat cover.
We shall have access to a wide range of boats ranging from a Laser through to Cats and keelboats. (RS100, RS Vango, Laser 2000, RS CAT) In case of adverse weather, there is a swimming pool on site.
All meals are provided from Friday evening through to Sunday lunchtime. Lunch is normally taken on the water at a beach but we have been able to moor outside a pub on more than one occasion. Cost includes the use of boat safety gear if you need it, there is a bar on site.
