Now available in the members area is a small web app to help you arrange duty swaps with other members. If you need to swap a duty, sign in to the members area and find the “Swap A Duty” box. Fill in the details, click submit, and we’ll send out an email to all members with your request.

Time for another website update. I’ve implemented a system for getting email notifications when a new post is made on the website, such as this one. An email will be sent whenever a new post is made, and will contain an excerpt of the post (or the full post if it’s short), and a link to the full post online. We’ve added a new little app in the members area which will let you go sailing more easily. Sometimes, especially if you’re a new member or still learning the ropes, it’s hard to get out on the water when you need someone else in the boat. Now if you log in to the members area you can use our new app to help you find a crew or a helm and get out on the water.

Problem is it’s great for small personal websites, but as the TSC website has grown it has become more of a hindrance than help for keeping the website up to date.
