‘Have a taste of sailing’ at Trimpley Sailing Club

Our spring ‘Have a taste of sailing’ course is rapidly approaching. With
the dates set and the flyers up!

The dates have been set for:
• Sunday 8th May, 09:30 till late afternoon
• Saturday 14th May, 09:30 till 13:00
• Sunday 15th May, 09:30 till 13:00
• Sunday 22nd May, 09:30 till 13:00

Bollywood Social

The authentic taste of India comes to Trimpley. Our next big social will be a Bollywood themed evening on 4th December. There will be a variety of dishes to try, along with plenty of side orders.

Ticket are £10 per head, and can be reserved by contacting Lisa Bradbury-Knight.


Learn to Sail – Autumn Taste of Sailing 2010

Do you want to learn to sail? Perhaps you’ve seen the Olympic sailing documentaries on the TV and thought you’d like to have a go at sailing yourself. Well good news, because we’re running another of our Taste of Sailing courses this Autumn.

Regatta Goes With Splash

On a warm, breezy day the weather couldn’t have been any better for this years regatta. Getting wet was the main objective for most, which wasn’t a problem with all the events and games going on.

The day kicked off with the Ladies Plate, won by Hattie Neville crewed by Ralph Webb. Mayhem quickly ensued in the pirate relay game, with all involved getting soaked. The pirate theme continued into the Commodores Challenge, a backwards sailing race. With no rules as such, raiding...read more


Regatta – Time To Walk The Plank

Join us on the 10th July at 12 noon for a pirate themed regatta. Shivering of timbers, pirate mayhem and special pirate gold prizes.

Events include the Ladies Plate, Commodores Challenge and Treasure Hunting. Get dressed up in your best pirate costume, bring a picnic, some stuff to burn on the barbie and have a great day!

Dinghy Drive

Coming up we have both sailing and social events:

The Cock o’ the Wyre Trophy this year takes the format of a menagerie pursuit race, so any class of boat can enter. In a pursuit race, the slowest boat sets off first, fastest last, so they have to catch up.

The Trafaldwyn Trophy is a series of 3 races with awards for Line Honours, Handicap, Best Newcomer and Top Junior Crew.
