Trimpley Sailing Club is a lively, friendly, family-focussed club. We sail on Trimpley reservoir, located in the heart of the picturesque Severn Valley near Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport in rural Worcestershire, England. We are a registered charity with the simple purpose of promoting sailing in the local area.
You can learn to sail at TSC on one of our Taste of Sailing courses. For those who can already sail, there is racing at the club nearly every weekend. For those who don’t want to race there is always the opportunity to free sail. The club also has a strong social atmosphere; many events and trips are organised throughout the year.
Trimpley reservoir nestles between the River Severn on one side and the historic Severn Valley Steam Railway on the other. The reservoir is surrounded by Eymore Wood which is very popular with walkers and ramblers. The setting is idyllic.
The reservoir was completed in 1968 and the sailing club was established by a few local people soon after. The reservoir is approximately 1 mile in perimeter. The reservoir is about 30 feet deep and constructed with concrete. This means it is steep sided allowing us to make full use of the area.
The TSC clubhouse is a converted barn. Inside we have a social area with galley (kitchen area) where we can prepare hot and cold drinks and heat food if required. There are male/female changing facilities with showers.
