On a warm, breezy day the weather couldn’t have been any better for this years regatta. Getting wet was the main objective for most, which wasn’t a problem with all the events and games going on.
The day kicked off with the Ladies Plate, won by Hattie Neville crewed by Ralph Webb. Mayhem quickly ensued in the pirate relay game, with all involved getting soaked. The pirate theme continued into the Commodores Challenge, a backwards sailing race. With no rules as such, raiding parties and capsizes were common, but avoided by Tom and Simon Fletcher to take the win. With a BBQ on standby to feed the hungry mouths, there was plenty of energy left for hunting the griz and a treasure hunt too.
